Kellie Schouten
Kellie is a licensed Conveyancer and the managing Director of EL Conveyancing, joining EL Conveyancing in 2017 and commencing as a Director in 2021 after studying to obtain her Advanced Diploma in Conveyancing.
Kellie has a broad range of experience with property transactions and takes a practical approach to each individual situation. Priding herself on developing a positive team culture to promote integrity, to in turn ensure that clients receive authentic service, with their best interests always taking priority.
Together with being a member of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers, Kellie is passionate during her days in the office to create an easy and uncomplicated process for clients, whilst ensuing all staff feel supported.
With extensive experience in acting for both purchasers and vendors of real estate in Tasmania, Kellie is your first port of call in the office when seeking pre-contractual advice.

Erin
Erin Sims is the founder of and licensed Conveyancer at EL Conveyancing. Prior to commencing the business Erin had been employed in the legal profession for over 6 years. During this time Erin was an associate of one of the leading Launceston law firms, where she had practiced as a solicitor for more than 3 years after graduating from the University of Tasmania in 2003 with an Arts/Law (Honours) degree.
In 2009 Erin decided to specialise in conveyancing only and open her own conveyancing practice. EL Conveyancing has grown gradually from that time. Erin commenced as a sole operator but together with Kellie now has a team of approximately 18 staff.
Erin has extensive experience in acting for both purchasers and vendors of real estate in Tasmania and is proud to say the EL team together offer over a hundred years’ experience in the combined conveyancing, banking and real estate industries.
Erin is also a member of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers and has served as the President of the Tasmanian Division of that organisation. Erin is excited to remain part of a dynamic and energetic team and is now largely responsible for all internal office management.

You can expect Jess to be your first point of contact at EL Conveyancing. Sitting proudly at reception, Jess is ‘the face of EL’, greeting each of our clients and industry colleagues with a welcoming smile. With years of ‘front of house’ experience in the hospitality industry prior to joining us, Jess is passionate about providing a high level of customer service and assists the entire team in what is undisputedly one of the most important roles within any business.

Pip
Pip has over 20 years’ experience in the conveyancing industry and has worked in several major law firms in Launceston. She has returned to the EL Conveyancing office after a three year break, with more enthusiasm and passion than ever before. Pip is a file manager working predominantly sale files, with a special focus acting for developers. Pip strives to give our clients the most efficient and professional service always.
Paige

Paige joined EL Conveyancing in May 2018 after working as a legal secretary at a boutique local law firm. Paige works assisting both our Purchase and Sale teams. Her main role is to assist with document preparation, booking settlements and client contact. Paige is also trained as a searches clerk, reviewing and reporting on our Council and other searches to clients. Paige is well known within the office for her strict attention to detail and takes pride in ensuring all matters run smoothly from start to finish.

Meegan joined EL Conveyancing in 2016 following five years in the real estate industry where she held positions in both administration and residential property management roles. Meegan is a file manager who has a genuine interest in property, a passion for organisation and a natural eye for detail. Meegan brings her almost 10 years’ experience to her role in the management of both sale and purchase transactions.

Tania is the EL Conveyancing Accounts Manager. She has previously worked in the real estate industry as part of an administration team for 7 ½ years including five of those years as office manager. From both of these roles, she has gained extensive experience with bookkeeping and account keeping. Tania is delighted to be a staff member at EL Conveyancing and enjoys assisting her colleagues when help is needed.

Taylar joined the EL Conveyancing team in February 2017. Taylar has since progressed to a file manager role, managing a diverse load of both purchase and sale transactions. She enjoys many aspects of her role at EL Conveyancing but her main passion is providing outstanding communication with her clients for a fast and smooth transaction. Taylar thoroughly enjoys her role at EL and anticipates making a long-term career in the conveyancing industry. She is currently studying for her Conveyancing License.

Shannon joined EL Conveyancing in April 2021 after spending 5 years in the real estate industry where she held positions in both sales administration and residential property management. Shannon takes on a file manager role supporting her team with the day-to-day work on both purchase and sale transactions.

Natalie started at EL Conveyancing during 2022. She comes to us after most recently spending 3 years in the real estate industry where she held positions in both sales administration and residential property management. She primarily supports the File Managers with the day-to-day work on both purchase and sale transactions. Natalie is one of your first points of contact with EL Conveyancing and strives to provide a friendly, calm and stress-free service to all clients.

Maria joined EL Conveyancing in 2015, having worked in the real estate industry for the previous 3 years after having her family. Along with her knowledge of real estate she brings over 10 years’ experience from a banking and legal background, having worked with a major bank and a Launceston law firm primarily involved in property settlements and mortgages. Maria is one of our file managers and is responsible for the day-to-day management of her team’s sale and purchase files.

Suzi has worked in several Launceston law firms in a wide variety of capacities, for longer than several of our younger staff members have been alive. She is one of our dedicated file managers with a focus on Estate Sales. She enjoys ensuring a smooth finalisation of transactions for both vendors and purchasers. Suzi also prepares specific legal documents for our conveyancing matters when required.

Karen joined EL Conveyancing in December 2015 as our full time Settlements Clerk. Karen has over 30 years’ experience working in local government offices, the banking industry and at a local law firm. For the last five years with EL Coveyancing, a much-loved part of her day is calling our clients and congratulating them on their successful property settlement. Karen is always committed to ensuring that your settlement is completed on the day.

Rebecca joined the EL office in August 2021, starting her full-time journey in the conveyancing world. Bec works assisting Taylar and Pip in an administrate role while also supporting Karen, our Settlements Clerk where she handles the majority of our bank agency settlements. Bec has a great work ethic and is always willing to assist our other office teams with general administration work.

Jenna is one of our dedicated file managers. With a keen eye for detail and passion for property, she is eager for her next challenge and to forge a career in the conveyancing industry.

Nikki joined El Conveyancing early 2024, following 30 years at a local law firm. She felt it was time for her next career challenge to begin.
Nikki assists file mangers in an administrative role within the EL office. You may also see Nikki’s smiling face from time to time on the reception desk, she hopes to bring ease to clients while assisting them with documents and questions throughout the conveyancing process. She is always eager to learn and is looking forward to developing her knowledge in all aspects of the conveyancing world.
